Continuous Professional Development

We place significant emphasis on the up-skilling and support of our workforce.

 Professional Supervision is facilitated on a monthly basis, at minimum, and Team Meetings are facilitated on a fortnightly basis; these forums promote the learning culture of the Organisation.

 In relation to training, we develop an Annual Training Schedule based on the needs of our centres from both a young persons perspective and staff perspective. We have two internal TCI Trainers and additionally deliver regular in-house training on areas including Child Protection, Restorative Justice, Trauma, and Complaints. We avail of external training services in areas such as Fire Safety, Attachment, Emotional Mastery and First Aid.

 We also avail of the services of a Specialist Forensic Psychologist who works closely with our staff teams to provide support in relation to complex cases.

 The emphasis on professional development was evidenced during our recent expansion whereby 21% of our workforce were promoted in 2023.
